This week:

  • A breakthrough in practical and scalable applications for AI! Klarna speaks to their AI rollout for customer service via press release. For context service cost is estimated to cost $15-$50 depending on channel:
    • The AI assistant has had 2.3 million conversations, two-thirds of Klarna’s customer service chats
    • It is doing the equivalent work of 700 full-time agents
    • It is on par with human agents in regard to customer satisfaction score
    • It is more accurate in errand resolution, leading to a 25% drop in repeat inquiries

  • Does Offering ChatGPT a Tip Cause it to Generate Better Text?
  • "Tech has graduated from the Star Trek era to the Douglas Adams age". As a fan of both - I loved this article. Matt Web has a nice write-up on an app he made using GPT.
  • Initial research on the OpenAI Sora model. "We first trace Sora's development and investigate the underlying technologies used to build this "world simulator". Then, we describe in detail the applications and potential impact of Sora in multiple industries ranging from film-making and education to marketing."
  • very cool demo of a new image generation tool SDXL. Speed is key! Try semi-slowly typing a sentence and watch it generate as you go
  • And one more demo - "Make a song with Suno"
