The rebuild to
version 2 mainly involved upgrading the motors, from
the old drills to a dual EV warrior drive setup, and
from the EV-powered weapon to a dual Cobalt-40 weapon
drive. We also upgraded to an IFI Isaac 16 radio,
which you can see in the box on top of the bot on the
picture to the left. There wasn't any room for it
inside! |
 |
This pic shows
the layout of the bot, after the drive and weapon
assembly was built. The wheels were driven by 2-stage
#25 chain. Wedge of Doom broke a sprocket at BotBash,
and RoboMaster broke a chain at BattleBots, so we will
upgrade to #35 chain ASAP.
This pic shows a 10 pound weapon, but we ran out of
weight and moved that down to 5 pounds.

Soon before
BotBash, construction nearing completion. The radio
was inside at that time, but for BattleBots it moved
outside as it didn't really fit inside. |

"Action shot" of
Daisy's first fight. Daisy won this fight, against
Tiki Fire, then lost in the second round to RoboMaster.
Both Tiki Fire and RoboMaster have way cool builders,
and I hope to see them again next time. |
