Bing - A Walking Biped |
|
I've always been interested in biped walking robots. This interest led to a
a project to build one in 2000. Interest was
rekindled in 2004 after seeing the
Robo-One robots at Robolympics 2004. Building Bing is a highly
interesting and complicated task.

Bing - The False Start
March 2005 - July 2005 |
|
I learned a lot building Bing 1, and it got me fired
up to work on a sequel, which I started in early 2005.
A shortage of servos led me to suspend my efforts for a
while, then my mind wandered to a different hobby for a
while.

Bing 2 was my first effort at building a robot for the
Japanese Robo-One
competition.

Originally designed with the idea of competing in
Trinity College's Fire Fighting Contest, Bing 2000 was
never finished. Its web pages are still available
for general amusement though.
